Registration for the Institutional Development Program’s 6th Africa Forum has now reopened

The Institutional Development Program’s signature event, the 6th Africa Forum, will take place 4-8 October 2015 in Kampala, Uganda. This year’s theme is Beyond 2015: Delivering on the Agenda for Persons with Visual Impairment in Africa, and the event promises to bring together the largest-ever gathering of Africa’s blindness community. The Forum will offer unique opportunities to learn and network with a diverse group of stakeholders as well as to discuss the future of disability advocacy across the continent.

The World Blind Union is a partner of the 6th Africa Forum and the African Union of the Blind’s General Assembly will take place on 7 October 2015, as part of the 6th Africa Forum. To register online, click here.

The Institutional Development Program, founded in 1991 by Perkins International and Sightsavers International, works to expand the capacity of organizations of and for the blind in Africa to advocate for opportunities for improved policies and equal participation for people who are blind and partially sighted.
